There are 3 similar yachts built around the same time at IHI Japan, namely PALOMA, ANEMOS and BELUGA. All are restored and in service today. If we had to single one out for the most marvellous refit it would have to be PALOMA which was extensively refitted at Malta Shipyards in 2003/2004. We have read that much of the refit works were performed by her crew. The blue windbreaks on the railings add a beautiful touch to the overall look however perhaps a motif or pattern might have improved further. The extensive open deck space is to be commended with the tender being located at the bow and freeing up the maxium deck space for outside entertaining and lounging around the jacuzzi. Even the aft on the main deck is available. Presently the yacht is understood to be owned since 2003 by French businessman Vincent Bolloré a friend of France's president Nicolas Sarkozy who spent time on the yacht at Malta shortly after being elected.
