Designed by Jon Bannenberg, as Solitaire of the Seas and built at Picchiotti yard in Viareggio 1977, she was an evolution of his design theme for 71m THE ONE ex CARINTHIA VI which was built at Lurssen in 1973. Then the theme was evolved again at Lurssen by Bannenberg and TIm Heywood to the more modern 96m LIMITLESS in 1997. However the 43m LIBRA Y remains quite striking and interesting after all these years and is typically at home port Marina Flisvos next to TYNDAREO ex VARMAR also Bannenberg designed.
