EL CHRIS was built in 1960 at Lurssen Werft, Germany for the German Navy as a Type 140 Jaguar class Fast Attack Craft. She is constructed of wood and was named S-21 DOMMEL. In 1974 she was decommissioned and later sold. Some time between 1981 and 1983 she was completely rebuilt as a yacht including new Deutz Engines from 1981. In 1983 she was relaunched as yacht LINA III. Later she was sold again in 1985, renamed EL CHRIS and refit again. The 1985-1986 refit included lengthening of 4.5m from 44.5m to 48.85m . She has the same owner as 58m Benetti Sunday built in 2006. She remains for sale.
